Our Story

Limon began with a little ghee on the back of my hand.

I was in my kitchen, my hands covered in ghee, without a towel nearby. Almost without thinking, I rubbed some onto my skin. What stayed with me wasn’t the mess. It was how soft my hands felt afterward.

I had always cooked with ghee, but skincare was another story. Curious, I started researching and discovered Shata Dhauta Ghrita, an Ayurvedic tradition of washing ghee 100 times.

That discovery changed the way I thought about caring for my skin.

A Ritual Worth Slowing Down For

Making washed ghee takes patience. Working by hand with purified water and a copper vessel, I wash the ghee again and again until its rich, buttery texture becomes a soft, creamy moisturizer.

I began making small batches in my kitchen, often late at night after everyone had gone to sleep. At first, it was just for me and my family. Over time, I wanted to share the care and intention behind that simple ritual.

That is how Limon Organic Skincare was born.

Limon means lemon: fresh, bright, and full of possibility. It captures the feeling I want to bring to your everyday skincare routine.
